Amputee Elephant walks again – Motola, a 48-year old Elephant from Thailand got a special present from the Prostheses Foundation recently. 10 years ago the 3-Ton Asian Elephant stepped on a land-mine while doing her job at a logging camp near the Myanmar border. Since then she had been limited in her mobility, due to only having 3 legs. But that is no longer the case as Motola now has a massive prosthetic leg to use. PS: Tossing sand in the air like that, is a sign of joy in Elephants (atleast in the manner that Motola is doing here, when taking her first steps with her new leg!) -SFGate via Gizmodo

Logitech G27 – Is fun to play with at work. I don’t own a G25 so I might actually take this home with me, because it’s quite awesome. Although it’s only an 11” wheel it has a great feel to it that closely replicated a racing steering wheel using real Leather and Metal. The shifter and pedals also look and feel great and the force feedback is impressive when I tried it out with Grid. Sorry for the crappy iPhone picture.

It replaces all those other adaptor kits with one that handles everything. 1.8”, 2.5”, & 3.5” drives in both SATA and IDE will work as well as big optical drives! Powered with an AC Adaptor and plugs in via USB, only possible improvement possible would be to add an eSATA somehow. -ThinkGeek

The RIB or Rigid Inflatable Boat, which measures over 40ft long is based on the SACS Strider 12S Rib, except the Abarth version brings some serious horsepower to the water. It has 3 x Yamaha 5.3L V8 outboard motors, each which brings 350hp measured at the prop-shaft. 40ft RIB with 1150hp? Hell yeah! -Autoblog

The CL65 has some pretty incredible features, starting off with its 12.2MP sensor and Smart Gesture Touchscreen User interface (no buttons!). On top of that it also packs in 30fps 720P Video, 5x optical zoom, 3.5” Touchscreen (tap to focus), GPS (for geotagging), Wifi (for uploading to Facebook, Flickr, Picassa, etc), Bluetooth (for image sharing), and an HDMI out with DLNA (streaming to HDTV’s). For $399, I might have to actually purchase my first P&S Camera. -Samsung

When it comes to market as an Extreme Core i9 (perhaps Core i7) not only will it be the first High-end 32nm chip from Intel, but it will also be featuring 6-cores with Hyper-Threading, a Triple Channel IMC, 12MB of L3 cache, and will be made using the HKMG (high-k first, metal gate last) manufacturing process.
